PART 1 (2 min)
El examinador hace preguntas personales. Aquí te dejo 4 preguntas reales + respuestas modelo B2, sin exagerar, naturales.
1️⃣ Where are you from?
I’m from Bilbao, in the north of Spain. It’s a lively city with great food and culture, and I really enjoy living here.
2️⃣ Where do you read news on the Internet?
I usually read the news on my phone. I have a couple of apps that show different newspapers, so I can choose the topics I’m interested in. I prefer that to social media because it feels more reliable.
3️⃣ Do you work or study?
At the moment I’m studying, but I also work part-time. It sometimes gets busy, but I like having both things because I learn a lot and stay productive.
4️⃣ What do you like doing in your free time?
In my free time I usually meet friends or go for a walk. I also enjoy watching series in English because it helps me relax and practise at the same time.
PART 2 (1 min each candidate)
CANDIDATE A – PHOTOS 1 & 2
(Cascadas y picnic junto al río)
❗ Pregunta:
What are the people enjoying about spending time by these rivers?
⭐ Candidate A – 1 minuto
Both pictures show people spending time near a river, but in very different ways.
In the first picture, a group of tourists is standing near a large waterfall. I think they are enjoying the impressive view and the feeling of being close to nature. It looks exciting and maybe even a bit adventurous.
In the second picture, a family is having a picnic by a quiet river. This situation seems calmer and more relaxed. They’re probably enjoying good weather, food and spending time together outdoors.
I think people enjoy being near rivers because it helps them feel peaceful, connected to nature and far away from noise or stress.
👉 CANDIDATE B
Would you like to spend a day by a river, or do you prefer other places to relax?
Respuesta breve
I’d enjoy spending a day by a river because it’s quiet and natural, but I also like relaxing at the beach. It depends on the weather and who I’m with.
CANDIDATE B – PHOTOS 3 & 4
(Bicicleta y patinaje sobre hielo)
❗ Pregunta:
Why do people enjoy activities like these in their free time?
⭐ Candidate B – 1 minuto
Both pictures show people doing outdoor activities in their free time.
In the first picture, two people are cycling in a countryside area. It looks peaceful and relaxed, and I think they probably enjoy being in nature, getting some fresh air and doing something healthy.
In the second picture, people are ice-skating in a big city. This activity seems more energetic and fun, especially for groups of friends or families. It might also be a way to escape stress and enjoy something different.
As for why people enjoy these activities, I’d say they help people disconnect from their daily routine and stay active. They are also good for socialising and spending time with others.
👉 CANDIDATE A
Do you prefer doing outdoor activities alone or with other people?
Respuesta breve
I normally prefer doing them with other people because it makes the activity more enjoyable and motivating. But sometimes being alone is also relaxing, especially if I want to clear my mind.
PART 3 (2 min + 1 min de conclusiòn)
COLLABORATIVE TASK
Why don’t we start with swimming? I think people need to consider whether they have access to a pool and if they’re comfortable in the water. It’s great for fitness, but not everyone enjoys it.
B:
Yes, that’s true. Also, it takes time and discipline because you normally have to train regularly to see progress. What about boxing?
A:
With boxing, safety is a big issue. You need proper equipment and a good coach, otherwise you might get injured. And you also need to be in good physical condition.
B:
Exactly. It’s quite intense. On the other hand, chess is completely different. I guess people need to consider whether they enjoy using strategy and thinking for long periods. It’s more mental than physical.
A:
Yes, and it requires patience too. What about football? I think teamwork is essential, and you need to be comfortable working with others. It’s also quite fast, so you need good coordination.
B:
Definitely. And it can be very competitive, so some people might not enjoy that. Finally, weightlifting requires a lot of strength and technique. You have to be careful because doing it incorrectly can be dangerous.
A:
That’s right. You also need the right equipment and maybe a gym membership.
DECISIÓN FINAL (1 minuto)
A:
So, which sport do you think requires the most consideration?
B:
I’d say boxing, because the risk of injury is higher and you need proper supervision.
A:
I agree. You really need to think about safety, motivation and whether you’re ready for such a tough sport. So yes, boxing seems the one that requires the most careful decision.
PART 4 (4 min)
(FOLLOW-UP ON SPORTS CHOICES)
Tema: Choosing sports, preferences, safety, motivation
❓ 1. Do you think young people should try many different sports before they choose one?
⭐ Candidate A (modelo B2):
Yes, definitely. Trying different sports helps them discover what they really enjoy and what they’re good at. It also makes them more active and open-minded. If they only try one sport, they might lose interest quickly.
⭐ Candidate B (modelo B2):
I agree. When you try several sports, you understand your strengths better, like whether you prefer team sports or individual ones. It can also help you make healthier habits from a young age.
❓ 2. Why do some people stop doing sport when they become adults?
⭐ Candidate A:
I think the main reason is lack of time. When people start working or studying, they feel too busy. Some also stop because they don’t have motivation anymore or they don’t like going alone.
⭐ Candidate B:
That’s true. Another reason is that many adults don’t prioritise their health. They focus on work or family and forget how good sport actually makes them feel.
❓ 3. Is it better to do sport alone or with other people? Why?
⭐ Candidate A:
It depends on the person. Doing sport with others is more motivating because you push each other and it’s more fun. But some people prefer being alone to relax and clear their mind.
⭐ Candidate B:
Yes, both are good. Personally, I prefer doing sport with others because it feels more social, but when I want to focus on technique or go at my own pace, it’s better to be alone.
❓ 4. How important is it to choose a sport that matches your personality?
⭐ Candidate A:
I think it’s quite important. If you’re very competitive, team sports like football can be great. But if you’re calmer, maybe swimming or yoga is better. When a sport matches your personality, you enjoy it more.
⭐ Candidate B:
Exactly. Choosing the right sport makes it easier to stay consistent. If the sport doesn’t match your style, you get bored or stressed and eventually you stop doing it.
❓ 5. Do you think schools should encourage students to try more unusual sports?
⭐ Candidate A:
Yes, because unusual sports can make PE classes more interesting. Students might discover talents they didn’t know they had. It also makes sport more inclusive.
⭐ Candidate B:
I agree. Sports like climbing, martial arts or even chess competitions can give students new opportunities. It helps them develop different skills, not just physical ones.
